Inclusive Yoga

Since 2013 I have been developing an inclusive yoga practice working closely with Stopgap Dance Company to provide an accessible but highly physical form of yoga.

For me yoga is an experiential practice where value should be placed on the individual journey and experience. Therefore I craft sequences that provide choices; the opportunity to have multiple focuses and play within set material.

Time is taken to cultivate a useful breath, develop awareness and promote a sense of ease in the body through the use of imagery and hands on work.

Complex balancing postures encourage the individual to find stability in the most challenging situations.

The aim of my teaching is to encourage the harmonious development of the complete individual through approaching the body as one entity: mental, physical, emotional and spiritual.
